Introducing: Jonathan Orland
And his debut album Homes
French jazz musician Jonathan Orland began studying saxophone in Paris with Thomas Savy and then moved to Boston, where he studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. There he met and played with some of the greatest young musicians of the Boston jazz scene and formed a quintet with Greg Duncan, Sharik Hasan, Lim Yang and Jun Young Song.
Saxophone in hand, he then travelled to Montreal, Canada where he received a Masters in Jazz Performance at McGill University.
After four years in North America he has now returned home to Paris. He has since been performing in different cities across Europe.
Jonathan brought together his quintet to record his debut album Homes, which is the result of four years spent in America and the many meetings with young musicians from all over the world.
The album Homes will be released via Bee Jazz on September 27th in digital version only.
